A. Introduction

Study Hub Bangla operates an online learning platform for learners, parents/guardians, instructors, and administrators. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, retain, and delete personal data, learning data, and Google Sign-In data.

C. Data we collect

1. Account and profile data

Name, display name, email address, phone number (if provided), avatar/profile image (if provided), role (learner, parent, instructor, admin, support), and language preference.

2. Google Sign-In data

If you choose to sign in with Google we may receive your Google account email address, profile name, profile picture (if provided), and a Google account identifier through our authentication provider.

3. Learning data

Enrolled courses, course access status, lesson progress, watched video progress, quiz attempts and scores, live class attendance, awarded certificates, and study material access/download activity.

4. Parent/guardian data

Parent-child links and linked learner progress and course data visible to authorized parents/guardians.

5. Instructor / admin / support data

Course creation and management data, material uploads, moderation and support activity logs.

6. Payment / access data (if enabled)

Purchase and access records, payment status or reference IDs, and access codes. We do not store full card or bank account details unless a payment provider explicitly requires and stores them.

7. Technical and security data

Login/session metadata, audit logs, browser and device metadata, IP-like technical logs, and error/security logs used to operate and secure the platform.

D. Data Accessed (Google-specific)

Study Hub Bangla uses Google Sign-In to allow users to create or access their account. When a user chooses Google Sign-In, the app may access the following Google account information through our authentication provider:

• Google account email address
• Google profile name
• Google profile picture/avatar (if provided)
• Google account identifier used for authentication/session mapping

We do not request or access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Classroom, contacts, files, messages, or other Google content.

E. How Google user data is used

Google user data is used only to authenticate you, create or match your Study Hub Bangla account, display your name and avatar within the platform, maintain account security and session continuity, and provide support for your account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it to third parties, use it for credit decisions, surveillance, or to train AI/ML models.

F. How we use other platform data

Non-Google data is used to provide course access, learning dashboards, parent dashboards, live class scheduling and attendance, quizzes and certificates, access to study materials, notifications, support and moderation, and to detect and prevent abuse.

G. Data sharing

Study Hub Bangla does not sell Google user data or personal data. We may share data with third-party service providers that are necessary to operate the platform. These include, for example:

• Supabase: authentication, user management, database and storage. Used to store profiles, learning data, and protected media.
• Hosting providers (e.g., Vercel): website hosting and deployment.
• Mux (if enabled): video processing and streaming services for live and on-demand video playback.
• Email providers (if enabled): transactional and notification email delivery.
• Payment providers (if enabled): payment processing and payment status reporting.
• Legal and safety authorities: when required by law or to protect users and the platform.

Service providers process data only to provide services to Study Hub Bangla and are contractually restricted from using data for other purposes.

H. Data storage & protection

We protect data in transit using HTTPS. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth. Access to production data is restricted by role-based access controls and server-side secrets. Stored media may use signed or private URLs where supported. Audit logs and monitoring help detect unauthorized access. Passwords are not stored in plain text by the application; authentication providers manage credential storage. OAuth tokens and secrets are kept server-side.

I. Data retention & deletion

We retain account and profile data while an account is active. Learning and enrollment records are retained as long as needed to provide course access, certificates, parent dashboards, and for legal or accounting purposes. Audit and security logs may be retained for fraud detection and abuse prevention. Payment and access records may be retained for accounting and compliance as required.

We aim to respond to deletion requests within 30 days. Some records may be retained longer where required for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security reasons.

J. Data deletion and user requests

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data, including removal of a Google Sign-In association where technically possible. To request deletion or make a privacy request, email us at info@studyhubbangla.com from your registered email address and include:

• Your registered email address
• Your role (learner, parent, instructor)
• The type of request: access, correction, deletion, account deletion, or parent-child link removal
• Any identifying details for linked accounts (for parent-child link removal)

We aim to respond within 30 days. Some records may be retained longer where required for legal or security obligations.

K. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and local storage for login sessions, language preferences, and basic security/session functionality. We do not use advertising cookies unless explicitly added and disclosed later.

L. Children and parent/guardian supervision

Study Hub Bangla is intended for learners, parents/guardians, instructors, and educational use. Parents/guardians should supervise children’s use. Google Sign-In is optional and should be used with appropriate permission from a parent/guardian. Parent dashboards are limited to linked learners and show progress, course access, live classes, quiz and certificate information. M. International data processing

Data may be processed or stored in countries where our service providers operate.

N. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes where appropriate.

Google OAuth — exact language for reviewers

Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, Study Hub Bangla uses Google Sign-In only to authenticate you and create or access your Study Hub Bangla account. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it for credit or lending decisions, use it for surveillance, or use it to train AI/ML models.

Google user data is shared only with service providers that are necessary to operate Study Hub Bangla, such as Supabase for authentication/account management and hosting/database/storage providers for platform operation. These providers process data only to provide services to Study Hub Bangla. We do not transfer or sell Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

To request deletion of Google Sign-In data or your Study Hub Bangla account data, email us at info@studyhubbangla.com from your registered email address. We aim to respond within 30 days. Some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or platform integrity reasons.
